Looks like this conversation has been running a while and I am late to the discussion. I have not read most of the comments here so this is a bit "off the cuff"...
Maybe there is room for both kinds of content here. The word "deviant" suggests to me that it is not a main stream art site. Some level of sexual content might be expected by many site visitors.
I suggest that the NSFW content can be labeled as such, so as to warn and advise site users, that do not want to see that stuff.
Some content is just "Not suitable For Publication" in my eyes. for example where children are involved.
I think it is also fair to say that some "porn" is more artistic than other. The porn produced by porn producers "Herge" is artistic in my view. I am happy that there are outlets for this kind on content.

Now, I will say this, some types of porn is art, and is legal, so long as it's in a community of people who are of age, and the character/ person is of age, specifically when drawn, and artwork does not need to be published to be art.
