A Little About Us...

There have been some general concerns and questions raised about just exactly WHAT our group is. We are NOT a Hate Group. We are not trying to limit free speech or put an end to all nudity that exists in the world. We are an activist group, if this group must be labeled.

We are here to shed light on the various porn or porn-like content that pops up on this site that is a violation of the ToS we all agree to when we get accounts here.

Also to mock and make fun of some of the stranger things that have been found to exist. We aren't all serious all the time. After all everyone needs a good laugh.

-------------------------------
If you think that what you're doing is ART then are you willing to upload this on your Facebook (Twitter, Google+, etc) account where everyone, including your significant other, family, mother-in-law, closest friends, co-workers can see it?

One thing that describes art is that the author is not afraid to display it.

Hall of Shame
I know it's a low move, but some people deserve the publicity. The lowest of the low.

:iconpelicanh: - This user dropped an angry comment on our page and then blocked both me (Daniil) and Sin, so that we wouldn't be able to answer. Your name shall grace our hall for this dishonorable act.

Deviants

The other day I stumbled upon an image. It was an age regression for Yuri Nakamura (from some anime)  and in case you don't know, an age regression image is a character at their current age (maybe 20's?) then younger, (16) then younger (12) ten younger (8) then maybe more (4) (baby) etc.....

So there was nothing terribly offensive or wrong about it, aside from the fact that the clothing of the character did NOT change size with the character. So by age 5-8 (not sure what the exact was) she was exposed at least somewhat (full frontal chest).

It wasn't a bad image, like I said. It was not terrible or horrible or graphic or (overtly) sexual. It was innocent enough. I wasn't even going to say anything. But just for giggles I looked at the comments. Someone (I forget the username now) posted that it was technically child porn and he'd be reporting the image (We shall call this Person Not-Troll). This person was not a member of this group.

Now, said person (Not-Troll) had a response from some childish person (whom we shall call Immaturity#1) saying "Stop trolling, youre stupid, ITS NOT PORN STOP TROLLING AND PICKING ON {the artist}" And I can only imagine, blocked Not-Troll. Seeing this, I figured I had to say something, but seeing how horrendously Immaturity#1 acted, I knew I should handle with care.

So I responded, saying "That person is not trolling, they're stating fact, actually. According to child endangerment laws any child over the age of 2 exposed in any way is considered pornography. If the image was a photo of a (hypothetically) 4-10 year old they could be arrested even if only the child's bare chest is in view."  I want to also state I did the research on the subject a little before I posted the response so I didn't look an idiot and give false info.

Almost immediately I was met with "YOURE TROLLING AND STUPID AND ITS NOT PORN SO FUCKING GET OVER IT JESUS CHRIST!!!!" and was blocked.

A friend of mine, whom I told about the exchange, then went on an posted a response. Using slightly more colorful language than I had. I guess fight stupid with stupid? But in my opinion it was justified, considering the kind of person we were talking to.

I want to say, NO THREATS were issued by either party.
No religions were mocked.
No promises of retaliation, or any ACTUAL retaliation was enacted by myself, or my friend.
The people involved in this debacle were not members, aside from myself.

And anyone that says otherwise is lying.
So have a good day, ladies and gents.

The admins and members of this group do not condone bullying. We are not approving of it and we reserve the right to drop your membership if there is any bullying going on. yes people post porn, Yes those people are breaking rules. Simply warn them, if you are going to say anything at all, and move on. Do not troll them or harass them, DA staff will handle them....and if they don't they're retarded...... (Not that thats anything terribly new to hear)

Though, I do agree that DA is a site for art and not porn, some of what is discussed and posted in this club sounds like ridicule and damnation of non-professional nude artists. At least from what I have seen in the gallery. A lot of what you claim to be about may not be interpreted that way by other DA users when they read about this club.
I mean, more power to you for taking action but, it is just up to what one wants to be considered porn which, to me, is anything involving masturbation, sexual intercourse, and so on. But not simple pictures of woman's vagina or a man's penis.

Also, a couple of your members seem to be going around insulting and being just plain rude to a lot of non-professional members who happen to post this kind of material. You're gettin some bad rep out there. Just to let you know.

There's a fine, FINE line between artistic nude and porn. What this group focuses on is anything that breaks dA rules.
located here: FAQ #565: You prohibit the submission of 'pornographic imagery'; what do you consider this to be?

If the members are being unprofessional and harassing other fellow users then should report it, Not come to the group. Please keep in mind that the group members are to control themselves. It's not up to the group founders/admins to keep a leach on them. - Unfortunately i do agree there are some members that should just report and move on rather then comment.

But I have a question for you, Based on what you believe to be porn - Do you agree with dA rules?

I agree with the rules to some extent. Honestly, some of them are lazy but I do agree with some.

For instance the policy on nudity. I agree as long as the model is 18+, tagged under Mature Content,
and is not overtly sexual(portraying sexual acts) it is fine.
However, I also feel it is okay to draw and photography nude children under restricted conditions. In no
way can the child be portraying ANY kind of sexual or provocative act/pose. I mean, the photo or drawing
would have to be though provoking in some way. You can't just take a picture of a nude child just because.
People will raise questions, there will an investigation, and so on(that's what I think anyway).

If someone chooses to draw/photograph young females/males in their underwear, with CONSENT from whom it requires,
and that child does not look distressed and is NOT put into any uncomfortable situation(sexual or otherwise), it's fine.
But if you can spot from a hundred miles away that someone is posting that type of art/photos and is only photographing
one specific part(genitals, breasts, or bottoms) of said child or adult way too often, then it is NOT okay.

But I feel a lot of people need to ask themselves these questions before they make accusations, especially if it's not obvious
whatsoever. Though I do see your point. DA users do control themselves. It just upsets me to see a lot of un-professional(i.e. amateur)
artists get ragged on for posting nude images of themselves with no sexual content involved.
